About Michael
Most organizations do not have a technology problem. They have a clarity, judgment, accountability, and adaptation problem. I use marketing and messaging as a practical laboratory for understanding what AI changes—and what it does not.
By day, I lead marketing at a national telecommunications company — managing brand, content, and campaign strategy across B2B and B2C lines of business. It's high-volume, high-accountability work that demands precision over guesswork.
Outside of that, I write and build. I've shipped AI-powered marketing tools, designed content systems, and developed web applications that turn abstract ideas into useful experiences. The Clarity Check is the flagship example: a living diagnostic built from the same systems thinking explored across this site.
The through line is a question: when technology makes competent output abundant, what becomes more valuable? My answer is clarity, judgment, trust, distinctiveness, and the organizational ability to act.
Message & Meaning
Positioning, persuasion, content, and what remains distinctive when competent marketing output becomes abundant.
Marketing as Laboratory
A practical domain where technology, persuasion, customer behavior, measurement, identity, and organizational politics visibly collide.
Judgment & Accountability
How leaders set priorities, assign ownership, and decide when judgment is shared across people and intelligent systems.
Organizations & Adaptation
How status, incentives, trust, routines, and power determine whether a new tool produces meaningful change.
Experiments in Practice
Tools and frameworks that test ideas in working form, including the Clarity Check and AI-enabled marketing systems.
My Framework
The Clarity Check
A practical marketing diagnostic that surfaces unclear priorities, weak signals, disconnected systems, and decisions without an owner. Use the result as a starting point for better questions.
Three Editorial Pillars
How AI changes marketing, positioning, persuasion, content, and the work of creating a signal people can recognize and trust.
How leaders decide, assign ownership, and remain accountable when analysis and recommendations increasingly come from machines.
Why institutions preserve old routines, how status and incentives shape adoption, and what allows insight to become coordinated action.

Projects & Experiments
I use small tools and experiments to test ideas about marketing, content, and AI. These projects show the thinking in working form.
